Into the light: Retro car concept uses solar energy

08.10.2009 Tokyo : Honda : Electric

Tokyo – Honda’s new electric mini concept, the EV-N, takes its design cues from retro vehicles, in a future-focused electric package.

Set to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month, the EV-N is powered by a lithium-ion battery that takes some of its energy from the vehicle’s solar roof.

Continuing the trend for retro style cues – as explored in our report on the Frankfurt Motor Show – the EV-N pays tribute to its 60s ancestor, the Honda N360.

Look out for our review of the Tokyo Motor Show, with all the highlights and top trends set to impact on the auto industry over the next 12 months.
