London – London-based Studio Swine has created Button Clips, a selection of clip-on buttons for men inspired by industrial architecture and modern buildings.
The gold and silver-plated buttons mirror patterns and textures found in industrial spaces and modern buildings. They come in a range of shapes, including a triangle, star, square gem and perforated gem, and with bold and regimented patterns to create a wearable architecture. The buttons clip onto ordinary buttons, enabling men to customise their clothes.
‘The boundaries of architecture are shifting all the time. It’s fun to imagine how a wearable architecture might look and function,’ a spokesperson from Studio Swine tells LS:N Global. ‘We felt men’s accessories were limited, so we wanted to create a clothes accessory that was accessible and easy to customise your clothes to create a special piece.’
The buttons are now featured on crowdfunding site Kickstarter.
