Gamified health: hot on the trail of breast cancer

Kuala Lumpur – Ad agency McCann Erickson has created a gaming advertisement for the National Cancer Society Malaysia, which teaches women how to check their breasts for cancer.

The app, called Hot Trail Hotshot: Prize of a Lifetime, appears in the iPad edition of female-focused lifestyle magazine Juice. The player swipes her finger across what seem to be three levels of mazes; the movements of the player’s finger through the mazes are the same as the self-checking routine for breast cancer.
