Milan – French design brand La Chance presented its debut collection of furniture and lighting at new Salone Internazionale del Mobile venue MOST this week.
‘As a consumer when you have too much choice you don’t know where to go’, co-founder of La Chance, Jean Baptiste Souletie, tells LS:N Global. La Chance’s first collection, entitled Jekyll and Hyde, comprised 12 products, each available in two contrasting finishes, the ‘eccentric and the dark, allowing the element of choice to appeal to different consumers and different markets’.
The dual nature of the collection, created by 11 international designers, is at once bold and playful, yet sober and refined. The legs of Pierre Favresse’s Magnum table, for example, are made from wood, but in the second version they are made from marble.
