Stockholm – Swedish earphone manufacturer Jays has created a temporary binaural installation showing the benefits of high-quality sound.
For the Behind The Wall campaign, Jays placed several listening posts around the Södermalm area of Stockholm, with a small plaque encouraging passers-by to plug in their headphones. Participants were played binaural sounds, which were recorded using two microphones and transmitted separately to each ear of the listener, producing a unique listening experience.
As explored in LS:N Global’s Conviviality Culture macro trend, creating interactive events and experiences is a great way of engaging with consumers and raising brand awareness. Another pioneer of binaural sound is Papa Sangre, as we reported in the Future Media Landscapes macro trend.
