London – Stylist turned designer Adrien Sauvage reaches out to younger consumers with his This Is Not A Suit collection, in which he mixes modern styles with Savile Row cuts.
To appeal to the ‘modern man’, the brand has made a black and white film exploring The Art of DE – Dressing Easy. ‘Here is the designer. Here is Adrien Sauvage. He is 27 years of age. Currently, he is retired, the art of DE allowing him the leisure of never having to wake before 12,’ the English actor and father of Sauvage’s business partner, Larry Lamb, explains in the film’s introduction.
Sauvage shows off some of the key pieces of his collection in the film, including a suit in dark grey mohair and a plain shirt with no placket and single cuff. Written inside the labels of these items are details about their provenance and inspiration. And instead of following a fashion schedule, Sauvage focuses on the evolving needs of his customers.
