Room for Llove: Show sets the perfect mood

Tokyo – Visitors to the temporary Llove exhibition in Daikanyama, Japan will be able to spend the night in a room designed to suit their mood. Created by Lloyd Hotel in Amsterdam, the Still in Llove project celebrates 400 years of trade and cultural relations between the Netherlands and Japan.

The temporary exhibition includes a hotel offering guests an overnight stay in an artistic space. The project takes its inspiration from Japanese ‘love hotels’, which let guests select a room depending on their mood. The 14 rooms will be designed by artists including Richard Hutten, Joep van Lieshout, Ryuji Nakamura and Hideyuki Nakayama. The walls in the room designed by Hutton, are covered in layers of tape that enable guests to leave messages and make their stay an emotional experience.

Brands are increasingly offering unique experiences to consumers. For more details, read our Conviviality Culture report.

The Llove exhibition will run from 22 October to 23 November.
