US – Plant-based food manufacturer Thistle Baby is matching convenience with healthy ingredients to meet the expectations of modern-day parents.

  • Thistle includes a wide variety of fruit and vegetables in order to ensure a healthy balance range of vitamins, minerals and flavour
  • Millennial parents’ global spending power is projected to reach £1.97 trillion ($2.45 trillion, €2.36 trillion) in 2018, according to Oracle

The new launch, on trial in California and Nevada, encourages parents to make fresh meals for their children using a subscriber model that delivers enough prepared and flash-frozen produce for up to three purée recipes.

The ingredients of each meal kit are organic and picked at peak ripeness, in partnership with local farmers, in order to preserve nutritional benefits, quality and flavour, according to the brand.

‘While many store-bought brands declare a similar healthy baby food product, we strongly believe that only by making the food yourself can you ensure its authenticity,’ says Shiri Avnery, co-founder of Thistle Baby.
