New York – Sony has launched an interactive retail space to highlight its new technologies and future products.
Dubbed by Sony as a ‘brand experience showroom’, Sony Square enables consumers to get hands-on with Sony products and highlights the brand’s future technologies, prototypes and beta products.
Featured products include the Glass Sound Speaker and LED Bulb Speaker, which are part of the brand’s Life Space UX range. The space will also host revolving installations and exhibitions of photographs taken using Sony cameras.
‘We want to be able to tell our story and drive an emotional connection to our products,’ says Steven Fuld, senior vice-president of marketing for Sony. ‘This is not just a commercial enterprise. This space is all about being able to touch and see our products and content in action, and all that Sony can do.’
It’s not all about the finished product. Brands are increasingly creating interactive retail experiences that enable consumers to engage with their products.
