Coffee cubes

05 : 04 : 2016 Go Cubes : Nootrobox : Coffee

US – Go Cubes are chewable coffee cubes with a shelf life of three years and the promise of a more refined state of alertness.

  • The star of SXSW Interactive 2016 wasn’t a new instant messenger service or social media platform
  • Nootrobox made the headlines with its latest product, a chewable coffee cube made from pectin

The San Francisco-based company, which already produces a range of daily nootropics, each designed to boost specific cognitive functions including memory, resilience to stress and mental clarity, has launched Go Cubes, a chewable coffee made from cold-brew coffee.

With the consistency of a jelly sweet, each Go Cube contains 50mg of caffeine, as much as half a cup of coffee. The effects of this direct hit of caffeine on the system are counterbalanced by the presence of other nootropics including L-theanine, found in green tea, for a calmer sense of alertness.

The Big Picture

Overworked and under-stimulated, people are looking for ways to hack their bodies to be the best versions of themselves they can be. Brands are increasingly framing their products through this lens of optimisation. Find out more in our macrotrend The Optimised Self.
