Zurich – Hauser & Wirth has transformed its second floor gallery into a chic living room replete with artworks.

  • Salon d’Hiver imagines the gallery’s art objects as part of a private collection
  • Sofas, rugs and bookshelves add to the homely feel and encourage visitors to immerse themselves in the setting

Hauser & Wirth’s winter exhibition positions unique artworks, music and books among furniture, fabrics and trinkets to create the ambience of an art-collector’s home. 

The new-look second floor, designed to stir the imagination of potential buyers with its organic feel and inviting sense of warmth, is a far cry from the bare white walls and sparsely placed works of traditional exhibition spaces.

Salon d’Hiver follows the launch of Hauser & Wirth’s Roth Bar & Grill, where customers can dine in the company of artworks by artists including Henry Moore and Jason Rhoades.
