In this week’s Portfolio, we profile Amsterdam-based interior architecture studio i29.
Co-founded by Jeroen Dellensen and Jaspar Jansen, i29 is recognised for its bold, graphic style and ability to transform a space through cleverly constructed layouts and unexpected visual effects that invite a wandering mindset. ‘There’s something intriguing about not being able to decipher the space you are entering at first glance,’ says Dellensen. ‘We strive to make a spatial experience for visitors that surprises.’
A collaboration with Dutch magazine Frame on two retail installations offered a unique sensory experience, creating moments of revelation and surprise through contrasting visuals and staggered partitions.
