Gin school

22 : 07 : 2015 Hendrick’s Gin : Gin And Tonic : New Gent

London – Hendrick’s has brought help to bar staff with an online training site devoted to the ‘peculiar perfection’ of gin and tonic.

  • Site guides visitors through a series of gamified challenges
  • Gives bar staff the knowledge needed to craft a perfect Hendrick’s gin and tonic

Hendrick’s boasts of its ‘absurdly complicated, entirely inefficient’ method of gin-making and its online training site is true to form. Under the guidance of Hendrick’s global brand ambassador and New Gent David Piper, visitors set out on a quest to bring the keys to gin glory back from five realms, each of which contains a challenge to be overcome. Yet underneath the eccentricity the trade-only site contains solid advice for bar staff. Did you know, for example, that ice cubes fill the glass to the top? Or that gin and tonic should only ever be served in a highball glass? The neat combination of video and gamified challenge educates as it entertains.
