South Korea – Some of Vimeo’s most creative film-makers have teamed up with Samsung for a new series that discusses the essence of connectivity.
The films offer a fresh perspective on ‘our human relationship with technology’, explains Jeff Hurlow, head of brand solutions at Vimeo.
Director and animator Drew Christie’s Department of Communication takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the absurdity of hyper-connectivity with a spoof educational film, while film-making collective Variable examines how the desire for connection is driven by biological and evolutionary forces.
The Connected Series follows Samsung’s announcement at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015 that it plans to connect 90% of its devices to the Internet of Things by 2017.
