Amsterdam – Zoku, a new apartment hotel concept, offers a place to combine work and play for the world’s discerning bleisurites.
Taken from the Japanese for ‘family’ or ‘tribe’, Zoku is a space designed to encourage the germination of ideas by bringing business people closer to the local community. Traditional hotel staff have been replaced with Sidekicks, ‘globally centred yet rooted in the local scene’ and as well as offering everything a business traveller would expect, Zoku also houses co-working spaces, meeting rooms and a living kitchen that provides a space for groups to get together and put their learnings to paper.
‘Zoku has been designed for international entrepreneurs, self-styled professionals, project managers, consultants and free movers and shaker,’ say company founders Hans Meyer and Marc Jongerious. ‘They share entrepreneurial interests and are curious and open-minded.’
