22 : 05 : 2015 KFC : Tray Typer : Touchscreen

Germany – KFC is helping customers to stay connected while eating, with paper-thin wireless keyboards that double as tray covers.

  • The Bluetooth-enabled Tray Typer was developed with German agency Serviceplan
  • It enables diners to use their touchscreen smartphones without getting them dirty

KFC is not letting sticky fingers get in the way of using a smartphone. The company has developed the Tray Typer keyboard, which enables diners to enjoy eating with their hands without worrying about covering their screen in greasy smears.

The Tray Typer connects wirelessly with a smartphone, is durable enough that it can be re-used, and can even be recharged. Every Tray Typer was taken home when they were handed out in new KFC restaurants across the country, according to the fast food company.
