Vancouver – Mobile cold-pressed juice bar The Juice Truck has opened its first permanent location.
Like other juice bars, its interiors are cheerful and bright, but the graphic design and branding by Glasfurd & Walker stands out for its playful surrealism. The products are colour-coded with minimal, clear labelling, while the pastel-coloured walls are adorned with posters by designer Alex Proba. Her comical fruit-inspired prints – such as a fantastical hybrid pineapple-watermelon – are displayed alongside large-scale icons of fruit and vegetables and Glasfurd & Walker's own posters of bound up fruit.
The whole design scheme is a high-brow take on the juice bar, bringing together minimalism and playfulness in a harmonious way that expresses The Juice Truck's ethos about juicing that focuses on energy and health rather than on starvation and dieting.
