London – At our Youthquake II Network Evening, held at The Future Laboratory HQ last week, LS:N Global reporter Rowland Manthorpe spoke to Nina Manandhar, co-founder, and Mark Dear, participant in, The Cut, a production company and youth magazine that collaborates with young people on different visual and cultural media.
The Cut focuses on collaborating with young people to encourage creativity. 'Unemployment has been a massive thing for young people,' said Manandhar. ''They didn't know anything else while they were coming of age. It has made people more anxious but also more driven and determined.'
The Cut enables young people to come together to create new platforms and projects that result in the formation of new youth communities. 'There are no more youth sub-cultures,' said Dear. 'Really it is just music, art and fashion scenes coming together and working together to be inspired.
