Copenhagen – Three design practices – from the fields of product design, architecture and idea creation – are pooling their collective intelligence to design products ranging from furniture to bicycles.
KiBiSi brings together the production know-how of industrial design studio Kilo Design, the ‘pragmatic utopian’ ideals of architecture firm BIG, and the brand awareness of consultancy Skibsted Ideation. In doing so, the initiative proves itself a great example of participatory culture in a Brandtocratic era, where collaboration and conversation come to the fore. Instead of sourcing ideas from their audience, however, KiBiSi designers turn to their most trusted resource – their peers in the creative industries.
