Using the power of positive affirmation, makers of A Bottle Of spring water say that the upbeat statements on the labels of the ‘Strength’, ‘Love’ and ‘Wellbeing’ bottles can have a positive effect on drinkers. The company refers doubters to the work of controversial Japanese author Masaru Emoto, who has suggested that positive thoughts can be carried in droplets of water.
With bottled water sales predicted to rise once again, brands need to offer more than just a nice package. Perhaps a message that makes people feel good may be the difference between being in the basket or left on the shelf.
