Oakland, California – Cabin Spray, the latest product line from natural fragrance company Juniper Ridge, fills homes with the scent of any of seven outdoor locations in the American West.
The company makes its fragrances entirely from natural materials, with open disdain for ‘French fragrance druids’ who long ago turned to ‘cheap, petroleum-based synthetic fragrances’. Product lines include trail crew soap, backpacker’s cologne and campfire incense.
The fragrances in each product are distilled from vegetation found in a specific location. Big Sur Cabin Spray, for example, is made from bark, moss and mushrooms that grow near the famed California coastal town.
Just as designers have been bringing the aesthetics of outdoor adventures into high-end products for the home, Juniper Ridge is bringing the smell of the outdoors into interior spaces, whether to actual mountain homes or urban retreats.
