Milan – Japanese furniture manufacturer Karimoku New Standard presented its latest collection in collaboration with food designers Arabeschi di Latte at the Erastudio Apartment Gallery during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan.
The collection comprises refined fun and functional furniture made from offcut hardwoods such as Japanese oak and maple, including the Soft Triangle low table by TAF in muted mint green and the Berra desk card stand from ECAL’s Lucien Gumy.
To complement the collection, Arabeschi di Latte created Tokens, a range of snacks served during the exhibition and presented in a small publication. ‘Like Karimoku New Standard’s furniture,’ Cristina Cortese of Arabeschi di Latte tells LS:N Global, ‘all the ingredients for these recipes were taken from trees – walnuts for the grappa and chestnut flour for a traditional north Italian dessert.’
