London – British Airways is celebrating the 2012 Olympic Games in London with a new pop-up restaurant, Flight BA2012.
The restaurant, which will open on weekdays from 4 to 17 April, will be in a real BA aircraft cabin in East London’s Shoreditch, and will serve an Olympics-inspired menu created by Michelin-star chef Simon Hulstone, in consultation with celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal.
Diners will pay a fee of £50 for a three-course menu, based on flight menus dating back to 1948. The cabin has also been designed to replicate a first-class flight.
This is an immersive way to bring British Airways’ service to life, while also highlighting its heritage. Find out more about immersive selling in our Tomorrow Store macrotrend.
