Minneapolis – Creative agency Zeus Jones has created an iPad app called Proof, a blind tasting game that offers a more engaging whisky-tasting experience.
To play, a host creates a menu of whiskies for the guests, labelling them anonymously and deciding on a set of flavours and tasting notes. Guests then use the Proof tasting wheel to describe the flavours they experience, rate each of them and try to guess which whisky is which.
‘Proof is a modern and social take on a traditional custom,’ says Brad Surcey, design director and partner at Zeus Jones. ‘It is an introduction to Scotch, which can sometimes be imposing and hard to learn about. Proof makes it democratic and engaging for everyone.’
