New York – American boutique hotel group Ace Hotel has teamed up with Polaroid revivalists The Impossible Project to offer guests a chance to use an instant film camera.
Throughout September, each guest at the New York Ace hotel will receive a specially designed pack containing a restored Polaroid camera and a pack of black and white film. A gallery show entitled 24 Hours at the Ace will be on view at the hotel, showing Polaroid photographic works by friends of the hotel, including Elijah Wood and Adam Goldberg.
Guests will be able to submit pictures taken with the cameras to an online exhibition, which will be curated by the original exhibitors.
As LS:N Global explored in our Revivalism macro trend, Analogue techniques are seeing a resurgence as consumers seek more tangible technology. We recently reported on Serum Vs Venom who presented its latest fashion collection alongside an exhibition of images taken with old-stock Polaroid film.
