Milan – Swedish home appliance manufacturer Electrolux has commissioned Italian architects Park Associati to design a mobile pop-up restaurant.
The Cube, which is due to open in Brussels on 1 April, will move to a different location every three months. Visitors are promised a unique dining experience as the structure appears in unexpected locations around Europe. Following its first residency, atop the Parc du Cinquantenaire in the Belgian capital, the restaurant will appear on mountaintops and lakes, as well as on other recognisable monuments.
Diners will be able to watch their food being prepared by top international chefs in an open-plan kitchen, which will be fully fitted with Electrolux appliances. The perforated aluminium structure has been designed to be light enough to be easily transported, while still being suitable for all climatic conditions.
