Paris – Louis Vuitton has launched a new travel iPhone app called Amble.
Combining GPS technology with listings from the fashion house’s popular City Guides, users can search their current location for recommended points of interest. As travellers navigate the city, they can start to map out a route, or an Amble, taking pictures along the way and marking coordinates.
The app can be used as a way to explore a city, while at the same time creating an interactive visual diary. Users can share their favourite routes and spots, either on Facebook or Twitter, or by submitting them to Louis Vuitton for possible inclusion on its website. Stylish celebrities including actress Rachel Weisz and director Sofia Coppola have already mapped out Ambles for the launch.
