Paris – Following the opening of its Tokyo branch, Australian skincare brand Aesop has commissioned Melbourne’s March Studio to design its pop-up shop in the Merci concept store.
Australian architect Rodney Eggleston used Aesop’s own packaging in the installation, arranging 4,500 cardboard shipping boxes behind netting to form a curved structure.
Eggleston’s work in other Aesop shops has highlighted the use of everyday materials, and ranges from a Melbourne store that similarly makes use of cardboard, to the Singapore outlet that features lengths of locally sourced coconut husk.
Like Aesop’s Tokyo store, the Paris store exemplifies the brand’s philosophy of giving each store an individual identity while maintaining a consistent design signature. For more details, read our Innovate article.
