London – Last week LS:N Global attended the Wired Retail show where talk centred on the convergence between the physical and the digital.
From Personal Appsistants to friction-free social commerce, brands are re-invigorating existing retail trends and preparing for the next wave of format innovation. ‘The line between where the physical world stops and the digital world starts is increasingly blurred,’ said Jean-Christophe Hermann, executive vice-president of global retailing and consumer goods at Valtech.
Highlights included talks from Tictail and Zalando, which both announced decisions to integrate Instant Messaging into their offers, while Jessi Baker, co-founder of Provenance, explained how Blockchain technology will restore transparency and build trust into supply chains.
