London – Matthew and Andrew Galvin of furniture-makers Galvin Brothers are the skilled craftsmen responsible for the Whiskey Drinking Collection, a bespoke furniture range that re-invigorates the whisky scene.

  • The collection was made in collaboration with The Jameson Works platform

Invited to create a bespoke furniture range for a drinking den at the Reverend JW Simpson bar in London, Galvin Brothers began by visiting the Jameson distillery for inspiration. ‘We decided to think about the collection through materials and connect back to the whisky in that way,’ Matthew Galvin, co-founder of Galvin Brothers, tells LS:N Global. The pair experimented with techniques and materials that were new to them, such as steam bending and copper, to create the whisky connoisseur’s perfect setting.

The result is a stylish collection of stools, coffee tables and side tables that have built-in holders for whisky bottles, glasses and ice buckets. The Drinker’s End Table features a spindle cabinet for storing whisky and mixers, and a top shelf with a whisky sink, lime conical and chopping board for making cocktails.

The burnished copper indents are a ‘subtle but important thing, they help to incrementally elevate the experience’, explains Galvin.
