Fashion minibar

08 : 06 : 2015 Pimkie : Antwerp : Mini Fashion Bar

Antwerp – Taking inspiration from a hotel room’s minibar, French fashion brand Pimkie has paired with Banks Boutique Hotel to offer guests a Mini Fashion Bar, a capsule collection of clothing within their room closets.

  • The Mini Fashion Bar features a selection of clothing to help during those ‘what to wear’ moments
  • Like a regular minibar, once a product is used, guests must pay for them upon check-out

The Mini Fashion Bar clothing range – all from Pimkie – is curated by fashion bloggers, with consideration given to the types of clothing women may have forgotten to pack, as well as the current season. Among the offerings are a trench coat for unexpected weather and an evening dress for a night out. Like a regular minibar, there is a menu, where guests can see all the clothing on offer and the prices. While the closets are stocked in one size, guests can visit the concierge to receive their proper size. As soon as they wear the clothes, they commit to owning the items and must pay for them upon check-out.

The Big Picture: Hotels have always been a space for impromptu purchases, but that normally involves a £7 packet of nuts. For more on new approaches to retail, purchase our Retail Futures 2015 report.
