London – Contemporary art collective and charity Studio Voltaire has joined forces with fashion house Chloé on a range of limited-edition pieces.
Chloé selected three artists who it felt best represented the women’s contemporary art scene to collaborate on the creation of three pieces for House of Voltaire, the studio’s biennial pop-up store, with the proceeds going towards Studio Voltaire’s renowned gallery and education programmes. The collaboration was part of the studio’s 20th anniversay celebration.
A scarf by Jenny Saville – known for her paintings of bruised, naked skin – a shorts and top combination from portrait artist Karen Kilimnik, and a dress from multimedia sculptor Cao Fei will be on sale along with unique artworks, limited-edition prints and specially commissioned homewares.
‘I chose three women to work with – Jenny Saville, Karen Kilimnik and Cao Fei – who have a real sense of femininity in their work,’ said Claire Waight Keller, creative director at Chloé, in an interview with The Telegraph.
The Chloé pieces are available online at Net-A-Porter and in the House of Voltaire pop-up store until 20 December.
