Living quarters: Louis Vuitton creates pop-up apartment in Hong Kong

14 : 10 : 2014 L’apartment Hong Kong : Louis Vuitton : Andre Fu

Hong Kong – Hidden inside an exclusive members’ club, the French fashion house has created L’Appartement Hong Kong.

Collaborating with interior designer André Fu, Louis Vuitton’s pop-up residency covers 3,500 square feet and includes a study, boudoir and separate living and dining areas. L’Appartement is designed to be an urban oasis in which selected customers will be invited to view and purchase the curated collection of limited-edition Louis Vuitton products.

Lavish, custom-made furnishings create a home-from-home experience. Alongside contemporary Chinese art, vintage Louis Vuitton prints and objects can be spotted. The colour scheme is also a nod to creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s first womenswear collection for the brand.

L’Appartement Hong Kong is an example of the Home-Tail microtrend LS:N Global has identified in which brands are creating retail spaces that resemble the comfort and familiarity of the home.
