Getting to know you

06 : 10 : 2015 Eatsa : Modular Menu : Machine Learning

San Francisco – Eatsa is a restaurant where the menu, not the waiter, welcomes you back.

  • Eatsa offers time-poor consumers an easy way to fit a nutritious meal into their lunch hour
  • Customers can order from a set menu or design their own dishes

Built for speed, Eatsa invites customers to place their order via a touchscreen and collect it from a cubbyhole delivery point.

To make the experience as seamless as possible, all food orders are monitored to build up a taste profile for each user.

With this data, Eatsa can re-order or modify a customer’s last dish and recommend ingredients or garnishes they are likely to enjoy.

‘People may end up seeing choices that are unique to them,’ says co-founder Scott Drummond. ‘We’ll get to know you, and when you come back, we’ll offer you some different items that you wouldn’t have expected, based on your preferred combinations.’

The Big Picture: Brands must give consumers a compelling reason to part with their data. Find out more with our Personal Information Economy Trend Tracker.
