London – New homeware shop Folklore is encouraging people to re-assess spending habits by developing more meaningful interaction between people and products, through an honest, pared-back interior.
With an emphasis on craftsmanship, durability and simplicity, Folklore works with manufacturers who share the same ethical beliefs to develop product collections with a sense of history. Products become more treasured with age.
‘We believe the story ahead of our products is as important as the story behind them,’ shop owner Danielle Reid told London Design Guide. ‘We source authentic, enduring goods that have purpose and will hopefully be loved, treasured and kept.’
