Paris – Design student Raphaël Pluvinage has created a game called Noisy Jelly in which people mould jelly that makes different sounds when touched.
The jelly is mixed with different coloured dyes, poured into moulds and placed on a board connected to a synthesizer. People can interact with the jelly by using it as a sound interface which, when manipulated, creates a variety of sounds.
This is a great meeting of food, music and design, although the jelly in this project is unflavoured. For more on music and food trends read our The Future of Music: 10 Trends or visit The Future Laboratory shop to order a copy of our Food Futures report.
