Sign of the times: Clock chimes with consumers

Lisbon – Design studio Cabracega and designer André Gonçalves have created a clock called USMA, which chimes to mark the time rather than using a visual key.

Lisbon – Design studio Cabracega and designer André Gonçalves have created a clock called USMA, which chimes to mark the time rather than using a visual key.

The clock takes the form of a simple wooden box, and chimes every hour to signify the passage of time, avoiding the use of a digital interface. In a world in which time seems ever shorter, USMA encourages people to take a slower approach, so hours rather than minutes count.
