Barcelona – Spanish architect Joan Sandoval has designed an interior for a new bike shop.
The spacious interior of Pavé has been designed to be used as a social, as well as a retail, space.
The clean, minimal design includes large backlit displays, which exhibit the complete bikes for sale, and a cobbled entrance which references the famous race after which the store is named.
The shop also provides a library and coffee shop, where customers can socialise and read cycling literature. Also available are a lounge, with a television on which shoppers can watch important races, and showers for use after training.
Retailers are increasingly understanding the advantages of creating social experiences in their stores. For more information, see our recent Coffee Plus micro trend.
