Doha – The Arab Museum of Modern Art has opened to the public in a former school in Qatar.
Redesigned by French architect Jean-Francois Bodin, the Mathaf [museum in Arabic] will host exhibitions and programmes with a focus on modern Arab art. The museum’s collection features more than 6,000 works dating from the 1840s to the present. The interior space is minimalist – white walls with splashes of colour such as red pipes running along the ceiling of the library.
This is a good example of how minimal design create simplicity and fluidity. For more details, read our Minimal Luxury Inspire.
