San Francisco – Jawbone has unveiled its first wireless speaker and speakerphone, Jambox, designed by Fuseproject.
‘We wanted a complete user experience,’ Hosain Rahman, founder and CEO of Jawbone tells LS:N Global. ‘We wanted to create personal technology that people can use privately and share.’
Users can connect the wireless speaker via Bluetooth to any iPad, iPod Touch, laptop or smartphone, and the device can stream sound at an impressive level. The Jambox has a range of uses, whether it’s watching a film on the iPad, making a conference call or sharing music at a party – and it measures only 5.9×1.6×2.2in.
The design consists of a folded mesh that requires no glue and a rubber casing for durability. Rahman has demonstrated this by throwing the Jambox on a table and the device was clearly undamaged.
