Living mysticism

22 : 02 : 2016 Persephone's : Neo-Tolkienism : We Came In Peace

Los Angeles – Persephone’s was a seasonal pop-up plant store inspired by mysticism, femininity and the occult.

  • Featured arrangements of unusual plants native to southern California
  • The arrangements were classified as either earth, water or air

Design studio We Came In Peace used its knowledge of interior design, art installation, event production and hospitality to create the immersive space. For 10 days, a split-level industrial loft in the Eastown apartment-come-mall building in Los Angeles was transformed into a mysticist’s paradise, complete with moss-covered railings and avant-garde art pieces.

The studio’s winter capsule collection of purposeful wares, plants and sculptural objects was available to purchase alongside a series of limited-edition living sculptures created in collaboration with Los Angeles-based ceramicist Ben Medansky.
