UK – Clerkenwell London is a new retail destination that defies definition, say its creators.
Clerkenwell London is neither concept, boutique nor department store. The sprawling 13,000-square-feet space in Farringdon is a haven for Stuffocated consumers in the heart of one of the world’s busiest metropolises.
A showroom, events space, restaurant and cultural centre rolled into one, Clerkenwell London is home to a collection of hand-picked homewares, fashion and stationery from emerging designers, including Georgina Skalidi, Elvis & Kresse and Studio MH.
It also boasts a 1970s-inspired vinyl lounge, gallery and library, which customers are encouraged to enjoy with a glass of wine from its cellar or check in for breakfast, lunch or dinner at British bistro 155 Bar & Kitchen, headed by executive chef Gavin Gordon.
As The Convergence Economy reaches maturity, retail spaces such as Buenos Aires’ Casa Cavia are emerging that offer a more holistic and respiteful retail experience, and bringing together food, culture and shopping.
