London – At the Royal College of Art (RCA) press preview for the London Design Festival (LDF) on 14 September, LS:N Global reporters were impressed with the standard of craftsmanship in a project called Out of the Woods.
The project consisted of a series of chairs co-created by the RCA Design Products programme and the American Hardwood Export Council. The aim was to investigate the potential of American hardwood as a renewable material.
The series was created with UK furniture producer Benchmark, and RCA students under the tutelage of Sebastian Wrong from Established & Sons, and Harry Richardson from Committee.
