Tukwila, Washington – US coffee brand Starbucks has made good use of old shipping containers by turning them into a temporary coffee shop.
In-house architects designed the Reclamation Drive-Thru, made from four of the company’s recycled shipping containers, as part of the brand’s growing initiative to encourage environmental design.
This is the first of the company’s cargo cafés‚ and is being viewed as a prototype that could be replicated in future.
Several high-profile brands have redesigned their restaurants and cafés, breaking the mould of globally uniform interiors. We previously reported another example for McDonald’s by Patrick Norguet in our Seed section.
