São Paulo – At the [Cyber]Sewing Atelier exhibition the colour changed depending on how busy the space became.
Part of an art fair, the space, designed by Brazilian studio Estudio Guto Requena, displayed outfits that incorporated digital technologies. It also hosted lectures and sewing workstations. The exhibition stand was made from pine frames covered in bubble wrap and coloured LED lightning in each panel was controlled by seven heat sensors and three sound sensors. Cool colours such as blue were projected when the space was quieter, while warm colours such as red emerged when it became busier. This is a great example of how to engage with visitors.
