London – At our Future of Media Network evening, held at The Future Laboratory HQ last week, LS:N Global senior journalist Peter Firth interviewed Ben Fender, CEO of 4D projection-mapping agency Drive Production, and the company’s lead digital artist, Christopher Maslen.
Fender and Maslen spoke about different projects that they have worked on, including a show at the G20 summit, which the world’s most important leaders were able to enjoy between negotiations. The dazzling show featured 4D projection mapping, fire dancers, ballerinas, lasers, fireworks and a live orchestra. ‘There was world peace for 45 minutes!’ Fender joked with the audience.
It is one small example of how a spectacular event can be transforming for an audience. ‘There’s nothing better than a brilliant spectacle,’ said Fender. ‘The integration of lighting, music and performers with a projection show has no boundaries.’
