All dolled up: Pillbox adds a sense of style
Belgium – Belgian designer Quentin de Coster has created a pill storage container that adds a sense of style to the process of taking medication.
Products and technologies increasingly enable consumers to monitor their healthcare from home, rather than going to a doctor or a hospital, as we reported in our Homespital microtrend.
The matryoshka-style Doll pillbox consists of three cups that fit inside one another like a stacking doll, and rest on round wooden bottoms. Users place the pills on the wooden base and place the cups over it. When they are ready, they take a cup to reveal the pills they need.
With its sophisticated aesthetic and playful design, the Doll pillbox applies a sense of fun to the daily chore of taking tablets and aims to eliminate any stigma or embarrassment associated with taking medication.
