Mexico – Mexican design studio Leolab has created the Leticia Sáenz Tea Tasting Set, which features a scientific aesthetic and graphics reminiscent of the periodic table.
Consumers are increasingly interested in science, with brands incorporating it into their products in a bid to meet consumer demand, as we explained in our Re-enlightenment Rising Toolkit.
The set consists of six laboratory-style glass containers filled with traditional teas in a grey box. The packaging is pared down, with just the number of the tea set and the flavours inside printed in black ink on each box. Simple white text on the bottles reinforces the laboratory look of the teas, which each illustrate an element of the periodic table.
The 100% recycled paper packaging demonstrates the design’s eco-friendly credentials and evokes a sense of earthiness.
