Ireland – Irish fashion designer Alan Taylor explores a fourth dimension in his autumn/winter 2013 collection, with his focus on the construction of the garments.
For his new range, the designer demonstrates every angle of the clothes simultaneously by merging individual garments and materials to create a 4D look. Working closely with Magee tweeds, the collection consists of nets and tweeds in navy, crimson and charcoal grey.
Taylor has re-imagined the classic tweed and explored the construction and fabrication of clothing, pushing the boundaries of what is associated with modern menswear.
Fashion houses are increasingly re-imagining the construction and fabrication of clothing. For more on how science is offering creatives a different dimension, book a place at our Spring/Summer 2013 Trend Briefing to see our presentation on the Re-enlightenment Rising trend.
