Sydney – Australian design agency The Creative Method has developed custom wine packaging inspired by vintage horror comics in a bid to reach out to clients in a high-impact way.
The studio named its wine label Holy Water and created a comic book narrative spread out over three bottles. Characters such as vampires and diabolical scientists were based on photos of the agency’s employees. The comic follows the characters as they chase after Holy Water and its life-giving properties.
With its over-the-top comic kitsch, the packaging is likely to appeal to ThirtyfiveUps who recall the detached cynicism of the 90s with fondness.
Incorporating the real design team at The Creative Method into an entertaining, fantastical narrative, the packaging is a great example of Faction Marketing.
